James W. Fordyce

Mr. Fordyce is currently Managing Partner of MEDNA Partners LLC, a private advisory firm. From 1998 to 2004, Mr. Fordyce also served as the Managing Member of Fordyce & Gabrielson LLC, a private investment management firm. From 1981 to 2004, he was a general partner of Prince Ventures LP, a venture capital management firm focused on investments in medicine and the life sciences. Mr. Fordyce has over 25 years of private equity investment experience in biopharmaceuticals, scientific instrumentation, and healthcare services. As a Managing Partner of Prince Ventures, Mr. Fordyce was a founding investor in Regeneron Pharmaceuticals Inc., Genentech Inc., Applied Biosystems Inc., and Centocor Inc.
Mr. Fordyce is Chairman Emeritus of the Albert and Mary Lasker Foundation, which annually presents the Lasker Medical Research Awards. He is an Honorary Life Trustee of the American Cancer Society and serves as a member of the National Council on Resources of the Harvard Medical School and of the Council at Rockefeller University. He is a member of the Board of Directors of several public and privately held companies.
Mr. Fordyce graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 1964 and holds degrees from Magdalen College, Oxford (PPE '67) and the Harvard Business School (MBA '70).
