Frank Caufield has been active in the venture capital field since the early 1970s. He is a Co-Founder of Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers. Mr. Caufield has served on the boards of Quantum Corporation, Caremark Inc., AOL Inc., Megabios, Verifone Inc., Wyse Technology, Quickturn Corporation and Time Warner as well as many other private and public companies. He also serves as a director of The U.S. Russia Investment Fund, Refugees International, is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, and serves as Chairman of the Child Abuse Prevention Society of San Francisco.
Prior to the formation of KPCB, Mr. Caufield was a General Partner and Manager of Oak Grove Ventures, a venture capital partnership located in Menlo Park, California. He is a past president of both the Western Association of Venture Capitalists and the National Venture Capital Association.
Mr. Caufield is a graduate of the United States Military Academy and holds an MBA from the Harvard Business School.
Mario Rosati is a Partner with Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati. Mario specializes in corporate law, especially as it relates to technology companies. He is an ex officio member of the firm's board of directors and currently serves as the managing partner of WS Investments, an investment partnership composed of the partners and associates of the firm. WS Investments has invested in a number of emerging corporations over the years.
Since 1995, Mario has been an adjunct professor at the University of California at Berkeley's Haas School of Business, where he teaches new venture finance.
Mario has sat as a judge pro-tem in the San Mateo County Superior Court in the State of California. He also participated in the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Task Force to the office of the President Elect, Ronald Reagan.
Mario is a director of several public and privately held companies.
Mario holds a J.D. from the Boalt Hall School of Law at the University of California at Berkeley. He is also a graduate of the University of California at Los Angeles with a B.A. in History.
Vishal Verma is a Partner at Edgewood Ventures. Vishal has many years of experience as an entrepreneur, leading day-to-day-operations and financial functions for companies in the USA and India.
Under Vishal’s leadership Edgewood Networks was created in partnership with Juniper Networks to develop highly secure networking products such as routers and switches for the government of India. Additionally, HAL Edgewood Technology (HETL), a joint venture with Hindusti Aeronautics, marked the first major avionics technology product developed by an Indian engineering team for the Make in India initiative.
Vishal is passionate about building strong education systems for the future. He is an active member on the non-profit boards of Trustees and Directors for the University of California at Merced and One Economy.
Vishal holds a B.S. in Finance and Marketing from Santa Clara University and a M.B.A. from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business.
